An up close look at what we do...

Ever wonder what our dedicated volunteers do on a daily basis in the City of Bordentown?  Well throughout the city are a number of feral cat colonies that our volunteers visit every morning.  There you'll find the kitties who are accustomed to the outdoors and unable to be domesticated enough to be adopted, so our vounteers provide daily feedings to help them weather the elements and stave off hunger. Our volunteer Wendy said it best in her own words,  "Last week I took a camera with me so everyone could see what I see when I walk around in the early morning, like a crazy person, in the rain, sleet and snow, with a big stupid smile on my face..."

Since we posted this in November, loving, little Annabel has found a forever home...just in time for the holidays, no less!  Affectionate little Annabel is desperately in need of a loving forever home to help erase the abandonment she recently suffered. Volunteers found her out in the woods of Bordentown, left to fend for herself amongst a colony of feral cats during days of torrential downpours. She immediately greeted our volunteers who rescued her and brought her to the vet where she was fully vaccinated and it was determined that she had already been spayed and is roughly a year old. One of our gracious fosterers is currently taking care of her, but she is not doing so well around other less friendly cats. However, she is gentle and loving with children so she would do great with a family with no other cats. Will you be the one to give her a new home for the holidays? If so, please contact us at: btowncitycats@gmail.com . ...

Great girls, doing great things for our furry friends!

Kudos to Girl Scout Troop 70252 for the fantastic website they created for their Silver Award Project! The site blends compassion with education to help promote animal adoptions, fight the cruelty of puppy mills, and support spaying and neutering. We are proud to partner with them to help spread the good word. Please take a moment to view their website and pass it along to others.

Abandoned feline running low on options after owners leave her behind in down economy

This is a sad, sad story that we are all too familiar with... The poor feline featured in this story is in a similar position as Lickity and Zippy, two approximately 7 year-old siblings who were abandoned in a box on our door step this year. They were declawed by their previous owner and are still looking for new, forever homes. If you are interested in giving them a new life, please contact us at: btowncitycats@gmail.com . Zippy Lickity

Can you help us turn a tragedy into a triumph?

This is the tale of Zippy (orange & beige male) and Lickity (black female), both are 6-7 years old, possibly siblings, however we're unsure.  They were left in a box on the sidewalk outside the house of one of our volunteers.  After spending their whole life with a family, they were suddenly cast aside to fend for themselves.  This is a sad, but common story, in this unfortunate economy.  Luckily our volunteer found them before it was too late and they have been resting comfortably in the home of one of our good-hearted fosterers.  But what they really need is a permanent home, one where they know they will be loved and taken care of, never to be discarded again.  Our biggest challenge is always to find homes for older cats, but these lovable two have a lot of life left in them.  Will you be the one to give them a happy ending? If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting Zippy or Lickity, please contact us at:  btowncitycats@gm...
