Ever wonder what we do on a daily basis?  Through rain, sleet, snow and even on holidays our volunteers are out there everyday feeding the feral cat colonies in Bordentown to make sure they survive the harsh elements.  Here are some pictures taken by one of our volunteers on Christmas Eve... Ever wonder what our dedicated volunteers do on a daily basis in the City of Bordentown?  Well throughout the city are a number of feral cat colonies that our volunteers visit every morning.  There you'll find the kitties who are accustomed to the outdoors and unable to be domesticated enough to be adopted, so our vounteers provide daily feedings to help them weather the elements and stave off hunger. Our volunteer Wendy said it best in her own words,  "Last week I took a camera with me so everyone could see what I see when I walk around in the early morning, like a crazy person, in the rain, sleet and snow, with a big stupid smile on my face..."

Ever visit PetSmart and see all of the cats and kittens in the Adoption Center anxiously awaiting a new home?  This center helps them gain valuable exposure in our adoption quest, but it requires rescue groups who use it to pitch in and help maintain it.  Simple tasks like giving the kitties fresh food and water and scooping their litter box are all we're required to do.  But with everyone's busy lives, we're desperately in need of volunteers.  If you can spare an hour once or twice a month, it would make all the difference in the world!  If interested in volunteering, please email us at: btowncitycats@gmail.com

...will keep the good folks of BCC from tending to Bordentown's homeless cat population. In the aftermath of the February blizzard, BCC volunteers shovel out paths to get to one of a handful of feral cat colonies, which the group feeds on a daily basis. BCC's daily efforts help these wayward kitties survive, particularly during extreme weather conditions. When volunteers show up for morning feedings, these cuties come running for some much-needed nourishment. Now that's dedication!

Because we're a non-profit organization, we are always in need of volunteers to donate their time and/or services. Some of the activities we currently need help with: Volunteer to man our table at the upcoming Cranberry Festival - Oct. 3 & 4. Help us clean our adoption cages at PetSmart on Route 1 in West Windsor. It's not pretty, but it needs to be done if we hope to find loving, permanent homes for our cats. Are you crafty? Can you knit or sew? We're always looking for people to take the time to help make cat beds and toys. As always, donations are greatly appreciated to help us continue to foster and provide veterinary care to the cats/kittens in our custody.
