In remembrance of two kind-hearted souls...

Bordentown City Cats would like to extend their condolences to the families of Katherine Jernegan and Joseph Coppola who recently perished in a house fire on West St. These two enormously kind-hearted individuals cherished the many beautiful stray cats on their street and fed them, without fail, everyday. The kitties in their neighborhood were very fortunate to have them around, as were we. And now to complete the circle, their neighbor Kate has graciously agreed to carry on their cause.

UPDATE:  We're happy to announce that sweet, little Breeze has found the forever ho me she deserves!   Breeze has one wish this Christmas season:   to find a loving, forever home before the holidays. She has traveled back and forth between foster care and PetSmart, hoping to catch the eye of someone who will give her the home she deserves.  Why someone has not scooped this ad orable girl up yet is beyond us.   Perhaps it's her initial shyness or the f right of being in a cage at PetSmart but once you get to know her you will see that she is sweet and friendly as can be and an active little girl who likes to play and cuddle and will win you over in an instant.  She is a pprox. 8 months old, spayed and up to date on shots and ready to go to a good home. If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting Breeze, please contact us at (E) btowncitycats@gmail.com or (P) 609-324-3896.

Cat Found Wandering Downtown

This beautiful cat has been sh owing up on the deck of one of our volunteers near the intersection of Crosswicks Street in downtown Bordentown.   He/she is a buff color, like a Siamese and is being fe d and provided with a shelter but we would really like to find the rightful owner. He is hesita nt to let anyone touch him, but loves a good meal.  Please contact us at: btowncitycats@gmail.com if you have any information on this kitty.

Help us find this kitty's owner!

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED: This kitty has been found wandering the area of Farnsworth Ave on the township side near the River Mill restaurant since the hurricane. He/she is a black/brown tabby, about 12 lbs and young. He/she is friendly but sc ared, and cries often. This breaks our heart, but luckily a gracious neighbor is providing food for the time being. If you or anyone you know is missing this kitty, please contact us at: btowncitycats@gmail.com.

New kitten arrivals!

In the midst of last week's Nor'easter, these two poor little souls were abandoned in a barn.  Our volunteers found them in a soaking wet cloth cat carrier and were fortunately able to rescue them.  They are resting comfortably now with one of our foster families and are believed to be about six weeks old (as of 11/15).  More details to come once they get fully vetted.  If you or someone you know is interested in adopting them once they have been fixed and fully vaccinated, please contact us at:  (E) btowncitycats@gmail.com or (P) 609-324-3896.

Hooray! Bobby reunited with his family!

UPDATE: Sweet Bobby has found his way home to his family after going missing earlier this week. A happy ending for all! Please help us find Bobby!  He bolted from his apartment complex at the end of Lucas Drive in Bordentown City in pursuit of another cat Tuesday night (11/13).  Bobby is a large gray striped tabby, about 12 pounds, 1 years old, and is best identified by his brilliant green eyes.   He's shy and tends to keep his distance from people.  His owner, Jennifer, is beside herself so if you or anyone you know has any information on his whereabouts, please contact her at: 609-429-0642 or jelost@gmail.com.

LOST: Danny Needs Your Help!

This beloved fella has been missing from Elizabeth Street in Bordentown City for the last several days.  Although he is roughly 17 years old, he is much younger at heart and his family is just beside themselves right now.  He is black and white and wears a blue collar.  If you or anyone you know has spotted him, please contact Ashley at (C) 910-232-4764 or (E) ashleyametcalf@gmail.com with any info so we can help reunite him with his family.

A happy ending for Charley O...

Charley O Our boy Charley O has a happy little ending he'd like to share...after wandering the streets of Bordentown for almost a year and living with one of our volunteers for the past few months, he has found his way back to his family, thanks to the help of social media and word of mouth.  Charley O, aka Sam, is now resting happily on the lap of 6-year-old Lauren who has been pining for his return ever since he disappeared from her family's home last year.  All's well that ends well.

In case you missed it...

Art & Animal Lovers Come Together for Wine & Cheese Fundraiser

Art and animal lovers will come together on Wednesday, September 19, for a wine and cheese fundraiser at one of the city’s notable art galleries to benefit the rescue efforts of Bordentown City Cats (BCC). The event will take place from 5-9 pm at the Artful Deposit Gallery, located at 201 Farnsworth Ave, Bordentown City. “One of Bordentown’s most defining traits is its sense of community,” said Melinda Pack, BCC’s event coordinator.   “Everyone is willing to help one another and this event is a great example of that.   The Artful Deposit, a staple of our business community, is lending a helping hand to further our worthwhile rescue mission.   This is a wonderful way to learn more about what we do as a group while perusing some fine art and enjoying wine and cheese in a welcoming community atmosphere.” CJ Mugavero, owner of the Artful Deposit Gallery and long-time supporter of BCC, will be donating a portion of her sales for the evening to benefit the group and noted

Little Zou Zou is quite the mystery.  Just under a year old, she showed up in the yard of one of our volunteers just looking for someone to love her.  And that's not hard because she has proven to be a total sweetie pie.  She is a little shy when she first meets someone but once she gets to know you, prepare to be bombarded with affection.  She is spayed and up to date on shots and ready to go to a forever home where she will be given the love she deserves.  If you are interested in adopting Zou Zou, please contact us at: (E) btowncitycats@gmail.com or (P) 609-324-3896.

Creeper has been found!

Chesterfield Family Opens Heart & Wallet to BCC

Bordentown City Cats would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Catherine Ingram and her mother Janice (back right) for generously donating food and funds to support the ongoing efforts of our organization. The Chesterfield family recently hosted an event at their house and asked all invited guests to bring cat food donations to benefit rescue group efforts. Their generous support will go a long way in helping our daily mission of caring for the feral cat colonies in Bordentown, especially during the harsh winter months when food is scarce. Catherine and Janice, the kitties thank you too!
