ADOPTED!! Another BCC Success Story!

UPDATE:  After quite a long time of searching for forever homes for this brother and sister duo, we are happy to report that both Fred & Ginger have found new families to call their own! PREVIOUSLY: Meet Fred & Ginger, this loving brother/sister duo. Both were originally adopted as eight week old kittens from Bordentown City Cats several years ago, but then in a sad twist of fate, the living arrangements in their home changed, making it impossible for their family to keep them and they were surrendered back to BCC earlier this year. Freddie & Ginger when they were frightened upon arrival at their foster home Fred & Ginger now - adapted, loving and social We tried our best to find them a new home together, but it's much harder to find someone looking to adopt two cats so now we are willing to separate them if need be.  Luckily, they have both adjusted well to living apart in foster homes.  But now it's time to find Fred and Ginger the fo...

UPDATE:   Fingers crossed, but after numerous different attempts, we think we may have finally found Jellybean the nice, quiet home that is perfectly suited for him! PREVIOUSLY: Some of you might remember Little Ricky as Jellybean, the emaciated little boy we rescued off Walnut Street a few months ago.  He was warming up nicely to the family of one of our volunteers, showing a hearty appetite and putting on weight.  Alas, we thought he had found the happy ending he deserved.  Sadly, it turns out he is not comfortable around other cats.  The friction was impacting his health and we had to relocate him to the home of another volunteer where there are no other animals and things are much calmer...and guess what?  He's doing fantastic!  He is even more loving and desiring of affection than before. What this means is we are looking for a quiet, permanent home for him with no other animals, perhaps a senior or a single person.  So,...

UPDATE:  We are happy to report that handsome Hemingway had great success at this year's National Adoption Weekend at PetSmart and he is now resting comfortably in his new home with his new parents who are just over the moon about him!  Thank you Sonya & Dustin!! PREVIOUSLY:  Adorable Hemingway was found lonely and crying for attention down at Bordentown Beach roughly two months ago. It was clear from the onset that he was not a feral cat as he quickly started crying for affection when our volunteers stopped by to handle daily feedings. Sadly, our gut tells us he was abandoned down there. We were able to easily scoop him up and get him to the vet and he has been neutered and given a clean bill of health. The vet believes he is between 1 1/2 - 2 years old so he still has a long life ahead of him. He is already fitting in nicely and getting along great with the other cats at his foster home. All this cute boy wants is to be loved! And the reason we...

ADOPTED!! Another BCC Success Story!

UPDATE:  Both Bert and Alice have found the loving forever homes they deserve and we couldn't be happier! PREVIOUSLY: Usually we get inundated with kittens in the summer, but little Bert and Alice are the first we've rescued all season, which is hopefully a good sign that our TNR efforts in Bordentown City are working to keep the cat population down. Bert (black) and Alice (tabby) were rescued from Prince St about a month ago and are believed to be about 13-14 weeks old now.  They are fixed, up-to-date on shots and very sweet and friendly.  If you or someone you know are interested in adopting them, please contact us at:  (E) btowncitycats@gmail.com or (P) 609-324-3896.
